Our Corbett Estate house still has its original features — will a media wall fight them?

Not if it borrows their proportions, which is the whole trick. We take the cue from what's there: plinth height matched to the skirting, shelf thicknesses in proportion to the door panels, the build stopped at the picture rail line where one survives, and paint drawn from the room's palette. Done this way the wall reads as something the Corbett builders might have fitted themselves, and it photographs like joinery, not like a TV unit.

Can we phase the build and add the joinery later?

Yes, and it's a sensible Catford order of operations. The TV mount goes onto reinforced ply inside the frame, not into the concrete at all. One extra check in flats: if you're a leaseholder, the freeholder's consent letter, which we handle as part of the job.
