Multi-trader / working foreman
We need an experienced multi-trader to become a core part of our refurbishment team. This is hands-on work on residential projects across South East London, with the scope to run smaller jobs yourself.
What the work involves
- Carry out second-fix carpentry, plaster repairs, tiling and finishing on live refurbishment projects
- Run smaller jobs end to end, from strip-out through to snagging
- Coordinate other trades on site when a project needs it
- Keep the site clean and the customer informed while you are in their home
- Flag problems early, before they become variations
What we need from you
- Several years on residential refurbishment, not new build only
- Carpentry and general building as your core trades
- Basic plumbing, plaster repairs, tiling and decorating to a finish standard
- Your own tools and transport
- Right to work in the UK
Useful, but not essential
- Experience running small projects or coordinating other trades
- Bathroom and kitchen installation
- Media wall and bespoke carpentry work

Multi-traders
Comfortable moving across several parts of a refurbishment rather than one trade.
Carpenters and joiners
Doors, skirting, architraves, studwork, kitchens, media walls and finishing.
Painters and decorators
Residential and commercial decorating, including end-of-tenancy turnarounds.
Plasterers
Skimming, patch repairs, plasterboard and preparation.
Plumbers and bathroom fitters
Bathrooms, first fix, second fix and general plumbing.
Tilers
Bathrooms, kitchens, floors and feature walls.
Electricians
Qualified electricians for refurbishment and property works.
Labourers
Site support, strip-outs, clearance and keeping jobs moving.
Skill matters. So does turning up.
We can teach someone our way of running a job. We cannot teach them to answer the phone. The trades we keep calling back all do the same six things.

Questions trades ask before they apply
When do you pay?
Weekly, every Friday. Day-rate work with All Well is self-employed, so you invoice us for the days you have worked and the payment goes out that Friday. Late payment is the main reason good trades stop working with a contractor, so we treat the Friday run as fixed.
Is there regular work or is it one job at a time?
Regular work is the point of the network. We would rather use the same people across project after project than rebuild a team every time, so the trades who turn up and finish properly get called first for the next one.
What areas would I be working in?
Mostly South East London. We are based in Anerley, SE20, and the bulk of our projects sit within a few miles of it: Penge, Crystal Palace, Beckenham, Bromley, Sydenham, Dulwich and Lewisham. We do take work further out across London, and we tell you where a job is before you commit to it.
What kind of projects would I be on?
Residential refurbishment, mostly. Full house renovations, bathrooms, kitchens, decorating, media walls and carpentry, with some commercial fit-out work alongside it. It is finish-standard work in people's homes rather than new build.
Do I need my own tools and transport?
For most trades, yes. Having your own tools and a van means we can put you on more jobs and at short notice. Labouring roles are the exception. Tell us either way on the form. It changes what we can offer you, not whether we are interested.
What happens after I apply?
Richard reads the applications himself. If your trade matches what is on site, he will call you to talk through the work, your rate and when you could start. Photos of recent work help more than a CV for most trades.
