Bathroom Renovation FAQs

Straight answers on budgets, trends, mistakes and value, from a team that fits bathrooms every week.

These are the 18 questions we get asked most about bathroom renovations, answered properly. Budgets, what adds value, the mistakes that cost money, how long the work takes, which trends will date fast. Every answer comes from bathrooms we have fitted across South East and South West London: Victorian terraces in Crystal Palace and Dulwich, ex-rental flats in Lewisham and Balham, en-suites squeezed into loft conversions in Bromley and Beckenham.

We work to fixed prices. We survey the bathroom first, then give a written quote, and the price we quote is the price you pay. No day rates, no provisional sums that swell once the old suite comes out. If we lift the floor and find rotten joists under the bath, we price the repair in writing before we carry on. That happens more often than you would think in older houses. As a guide, a bathroom refresh starts from £4,500, a full refit from £7,000 and a wet room from £8,500. If your question is not covered here, call us and ask.

If you are pricing a job, our bathroom fitting service page covers how we work, and the bathroom cost calculator and wet room calculator give instant estimates. For whole-house questions, see the Home Renovation FAQs.
